Effect of mixing ratio on NO2 gas sensor response with SnO2-decorated carbon nanotube channels fabricated by one-step dielectrophoretic assembly

چکیده
We fabricated nitrogen dioxide (NO2) gas sensors with p-type carbon nanotubes (CNTs) / n-type tin (SnO2) nanoparticle heterojunctions using one-step dielectrophoretic assembly and investigated the effect of CNT/SnO2 ratio on their NO2 detection properties. CNTs SnO2 nanoparticles were mixed in various ratios, suspended deionized water, assembled by dielectrophoresis. The normalized response heterojunction against 1 ppm was ?80 an N2 atmosphere ?20 artificial air, where UV irradiation used only for initialization. To reduce oxygen (O2), we also conducted continuous intensities during initialization detection. pn sensor had a maximum 19 while that 3. Furthermore, plotting as function concentration reveals detected low 20 ppb air.

Schottky-type response of carbon nanotube NO2 gas sensor fabricated onto aluminum electrodes by dielectrophoresis
Single-walled carbon nanotube (CNT) gas sensors were fabricated by dielectrophoresis onto microelectrodes made of Cr, Pd or Al. The Al/CNT sensor response to NO2 (nitrogen dioxide) gas was characterized by fast and large resistance increase at the moment of NO2 exposure, whereas the resistance of the other metal/CNT sensors monotonously decreased. It was suggested that the adsorbed NO molecules...
متن کاملControlled fabrication of carbon nanotube NO2 gas sensor using dielectrophoretic impedance measurement
The authors have previously demonstrated an electrokinetic fabrication method of a carbon nanotube (CNT) gas sensor using dielectrophoresis. One advantage of the technique was that one could quantify the amount of trapped nanotubes on a real time basis by monitoring electrical impedance of the sensor (dielectrophoretic impedance measurement, DEPIM). In the present study, we extended the DEPIM t...
متن کاملEffect of gas flow on electronic transport in a DNA-decorated carbon nanotube.
We calculate the two-time current correlation function using the experimental data of the current-time characteristics of the Gas-DNA-decorated carbon nanotube field effect transistor. The pattern of the correlation function is a measure of the sensitivity and selectivity of the sensors and suggest that these gas flow sensors may also be used as DNA sequence detectors. The system is modelled by...
متن کاملPalladium Nanoparticles Decorated Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube Hydrogen Sensor
We developed a simple and cost-effective fabrication technique to construct a hydrogen nanosensor by decorating single-walled carbon nanotubes with Pd nanoparticles. By varying the sensor’s synthesis conditions (e.g., Pd electrodeposition charge, deposition potential, and initial baseline resistance of the SWNT network), the sensing performance was optimized. The optimized sensor showed excelle...
متن کاملNickel Decorated Single-Wall Carbon Nanotube as CO Sensor
Based on spin-polarized density functional theory (DFT) calculations, the interaction between nickel cluster decorated single-wall carbon nanotube (CNT) and CO molecule has been investigated. DFT calculations are performed with generalized gradient approximation (GGA) using Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof (PBE) functional. Interaction of CNT and cluster induces spin polarization in the CNT. Nickel decor...
